A Flush Inset Wet Bar in Center Valley, PA
The Challenge & The Vision
Designed by Swine Design, LLC, this wet bar turns a single wall into a dedicated area for serving and entertaining. Laslo’s role focused on the cabinetry and cabinetry installation, with the cabinet layout built around the refrigeration, sink, countertop, and other elements specified for the space.
The design keeps the lower portion tailored and organized while allowing the upper wall to remain visually open. Through Laslo’s custom bar cabinetry projects, the millwork provides the structure that brings the different functions of the bar into one cohesive composition.
Flush Inset Cabinetry Sets the Foundation
Maple cabinetry in Benjamin Moore Tyler Gray gives the wet bar its defining character. Flush inset construction, CRP-10 doors, and slab drawer fronts create crisp lines across the cabinet run, while black Top Knobs hardware provides a strong contrast against the painted finish.
The cabinetry was built to accommodate the beverage refrigeration and refrigerator drawers within the lower run, keeping the appliances integrated into the overall design. Solid dovetail drawer boxes with undermount soft-close slides add durability and smooth operation behind the finished exterior.
A Lighter Approach Above the Countertop
Rather than continuing cabinetry to the ceiling, the design uses floating shelves to open up the upper portion of the bar. The shelves provide space for bottles, glassware, and display pieces against the tiled wall, while ribbon lighting routed into the shelving adds a discreet source of illumination.
Blue Dunes leathered granite adds natural variation at the countertop, creating contrast with the painted maple cabinetry and black hardware without competing with the open shelving above.
