Ultra-Efficient Island Table Kitchen

The island table kitchen is the perfect layout solution for homes that don’t have a separate dining space. By incorporating bar stool seating along one side, the island effectively acts as a kitchen table. But the cabinetry base also provides extra storage and houses a built-in microwave—a move that keeps the beautiful quartz countertops clean and clutter-free. This was also used to make a bold design statement, as the vibrant blue provides a pleasing contrast to the perimeter cabinets and firmly centers the island as the focal point of the kitchen.

The layout of the island table kitchen isn’t the only thing that makes the space more efficient. A mix of custom cabinetry and organization solutions ensure that every square inch of storage space is effectively utilized. From awkward corner cabinets turned functional to specialty inserts for items like spice jars and dinnerware, this kitchen is the epitome of low-maintenance organization.

Another great addition to this island table kitchen is the Galley kitchen sink. Its innovative two-tiered design and wide array of accessories are a complete game changer when it comes to prepping, serving, and cleaning up meals. With the Galley kitchen sink, cooking is a breeze!

Returning to the clean and clutter-free countertop mandate, we built a custom beverage bar to house the homeowners’ coffee machines and associated goods. Slide out shelves provide easy access to the appliances while LED strip lighting offers improved visibility. When the bar isn’t in use, the doors simply slide shut to create a clean and streamlined look.

This project ended up going beyond the island table kitchen and into the living room. A custom entertainment area frames the TV while concealing its wires, provides spotlight display shelving for décor, and has concealed storage for functional items like blankets along the bottom. Even more closed cabinetry was added along another wall, transforming unused space into functional storage to keep the living room neat and tidy.
